The laptop with the IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL blue screen has been stocked as shown below. There are various reasons why the blue screen appears. Sometimes, we have a phone customer who asks how much it costs to repair the blue screen. The cost is calculated when we find the cause, but the cost of treatment and repair of the blue screen is calculated when I also check and find the cause, and the repair cost is incurred. (Blue screen is a symptom and there are various causes.)
Blue screens are hard to tell you the cost of repairing blue screens because they get BSOD codes for a variety of reasons, and they usually have a lot of problems with software errors, but they can also get blue screens because of hard disks, SSDs, memory, even CPUs, motherboards, USB ports, and even an unintended USB mouse. Software problems (window damage and collisions, etc.) can often be resolved by reinstalling windows.
Basically, if the blue screen appears or stops even after reinstalling the window, you should proceed with a hardware check.

This is the new LG laptop S560-MH10K. It's from 2014. It doesn't have an SSD and only has a hard disk. It's a laptop with genuine Windows 8 installed. It's very slow. Anyway, Windows 8 is not currently in use, so I need to reinstall it to Windows 10. I recommended upgrading to an SSD, but since you're planning to buy a new one without using it for a long time, you wanted to reinstall Windows 10 only.

Since installing Windows 10 on an existing hard disk takes too long, I disconnected the hard disk and connected it to my inspection computer to check the bad sector, and connected my test SSD to install Windows 10.
The existing hard disk is connected to my computer for testing. Checking if it is bad sector
The memory is also around 4GB, which is the minimum installation capacity of Windows 10. Most office computers released these days (2021) are equipped with 8GB or more. It runs around Windows 10 with 4GB, but at least 8GB of memory is recommended.
I'm going to install Windows on an SSD that works well and replicate (migrate) my hard disk to my SSD => guest HDD. (Dongtan)
I confirmed that the SSD is recognized/compatible in BIOS, and I reset BIOS to the default value. As Windows 8 is installed by default, UEFI Boot Type is the first to be caught in boot mode.
Initialized the motherboard settings before installing Windows 10.
Windows 10 is installed on the SSD. I first checked that the laptop doesn't show up on the blue screen and boots normally, and then I went ahead with the Windows 10 reinstallation.
I loaded the windows installed on the SSD and confirmed that it enters the desktop normally.
In Simos mode, you can install the USB device as USB by raising it to the first priority of booting, but sometimes, with Windows installed, you can cross Find USB device, so I pressed the shortcut key (Special Key F10) to display the boot menu of the LG laptop, and I booted it with Windows 10 installation USB.
The shortcut to display the boot menu of LG laptop is F10. (Sometimes the old version seems to have F12 as well.)
Since the original Windows 8 product is included on the laptop's motherboard, the installation was carried out with the Windows 10 HOME edition compatible with Windows 8.
Windows 10 installation process
Windows installation and Windows update have been successfully completed with my test SSD. After the surface inspection, I tried hard cloning and Windows booting with a customer's hard disk in a normal state. The disk keeps showing 100% as shown below. I tested it with SSD test program and I don't know when it will end. I stopped it in the middle.
Hard disk lag
I'm checking the operating speed of my hard disk with the CrystalDiskMark 7.0.0 program. I'm running less than 100MB/s per second (read/write). CPU lag occurs with SSD installed, but I managed to use it for office use, but now the hard disk is too slow, so I feel like it won't be easy to use.
It's easy to do heavy-loading solo work (editing documents), reading articles, playing simple news videos, and playing music. Internet shopping is stuttering. (So many images come up in one window that even powerful desktops can stutter.)
Checking disk speed
At the same time, we also tested the operation of the wireless LAN. I copied a single file of about 18 gigabytes wirelessly to the network folder as shown below. I was able to confirm that the wireless signal was not cut off and moved well.
We cleaned the dust accumulated under the laptop fan and keypad with a compressor outdoors. It would be nice if you could completely disassemble the old laptop and re-apply the thermal compound together. It is difficult to disassemble and clean the laptop with only the cost of re-installing the window due to the time and cost issues and the risk of defects during disassembly. Cleaning the dust with the compressor air without disassembling can be blown as a service while installing the window.
